How Much do you use your Cell Phone?
hey,
its just a stupid question but i want to see where i stand on using the phone.
do u:
1- mostly on weekends
2-talk to friends anytime once in a while
3-am constantly in the phone
4- cant live without it
5- other kinds pleas specify.
and also the total life of the cell phone i currently have 49 hours of use, and i have had it about less than a year. how many do u have?
it doesnt really play a big role in my life as other people say, i guess i could ive without a cell phone although it would be tougher cause most of the time i have it i actually need it

my toilet recently fell in a toilet and i flushed it down....so now i don't' have a phone. I rarely used my old one but since ive been without it, it is kinda hard to keep track of whats going on with friends and planning things. It does help alot... Im about a 2 on your list though.

Mostly Friends. Occasionaly work since everyone there has a Nextel phone. Direct Connect is awesome but you need to turn down the speaker so the whole world can't hear you.
My one friend from work, she "chirps" me all the time and when I go out driving with friends we are on them all the time since we use Group Connect.
I really can't see myself without my phone, I'm calling for parts all the time at school and home.
I have the Nextel Motorola i710 since I didn't want the silver i730. I plan on changing up to an i830 since it just went down to $175

i loath cell phones!
but, i still have one... in fact, i delayed in getting one until my other roomies at the time decided against a land-line.
even now, i dont use much the one i have... i have never once gone over-minutes for anytime, let alone night/weekend rates...
i likely use my cell an average of 2-3 minutes per day, with some days hitting 20, or more minutes, and even more being 0 minutes.
what i do find it useful for is it is a good alarm clock when im not home

I almost never use my phone really, I hate talking on the phone. I can't stand people who talk for hours and hours on the phone...maybe that's why I don't have a girlfriend LOL
I just call friends randomly, there can be weeks I never touch my cell phone, and there can be weeks when I have to be on it all the time...

We also have a complex pricing. First you have to choose the basic abo.
After that you'll have different prices for different times of the week. But i'll say here in Switzerland you'll pay $0.5 per minute during the day and $0.15 at evenings and weekends. A SMS costs $0.15.
But they gonna change pricing soon because it's really expensive. And if you compare the prices in Germany or Austria... our prices are extremely high!

for 500 peak-time minutes, 3500 night (7pm-6am) and weekend, i pay $37 per month... cheapest available plan in my plan choices... and im boosted to $.20 or so for roaming charges per minute. peak hour minutes cost me 7 cents per minute, and less than 1 penny for night/weekends...

I have 280 SMS's per month OR 70 minutes of chat time for free. I never use it all up. My cell phone is generally used to contact my girlfriend and take car pics I could live without, it but in many situations it is neccessary to have it with you.
