the problem with that is that the SMG module compensates for that automatically when the gear change is signaled. So when you lift prior to the change it throws the module off and causes it to recalculate everything which slows it down.

Your best bet would be to leave it in auto on setting 1.

Do you find it jerky too Z... what do the owners say? do they like it? or wish they had've got the manual?

for city driving, it can be a bit jerky, especially in rush hour traffic. But the owners of them don't seem to mind. it doesn't take much to get used to it. All it takes is program 1 or 2 and learning how slow you press the accelerator.

But for city driving, personally i would get the 6 spd.
