Default First C6 Z crashed in US

I was coming around a "s" curve and the ass end came out. I then over corrected and the car continued to spin with no Activite Handling System assistance. The traction and AHS was on; caused about 3000.00 in damages.

Is there any wait time for the fenders for the Z?. Will post pics. of the curve and the damage.
it seems it was a minor accident, and the driver is just fine... but still. also, he says in the thread that pictures are on the way

Hopefully Chevy will correct this problem by including in the z06 package someone that knows how to drive and a second set of controls on the passenger side.

ANd it was supposedly a 30mph slide..

The goon got on the gas and the 500hp on cool tyres and road got away from him.

Oh well.. money doesn't always buy you common ense or skill..

Hey it happens, we shouldn't be so quick to judge. 500 horse and cold tires is a handful for anyone. I remember my old stang on drag radials spinning tires all the way up the block through 3 gears at part throttle in the winter. Fun, but I had to wheel that sucker to keep it under control.

When the driver fails to admit that the "car got away from him" then it is is not only ok to judge - but expected...

You have to be a rather blockheaded marooon to NOT figure out that just getting on the gas with cold tyres and 500hp is not a wise move

He then goes on to blame the AH system for NOT saving his arse.

My car has abotu 420hp to the crank and in 50 degree F weather (as it is now) will spin the tyres on the 3rd to 4th shift at 90mph if I want to gas it.

30mph in 1st, 2nd, 3rd or even 4th gear in my car will spin the tyres and put me sidewaysin 50 degree weather - this goon is expecting the AH to save his arse with 500hp and cold tyres and road (not to mention the 50 degree weatehr probably gives the motor an extra 15hp with the cool dense air ) - that alone is a clue that he is a little out of his depth to start with

RC ..... u are in Houston rite? Should I assume u have summer tires all year round?

Back to the topic, this guy is unbelievable, I think he's questioning the ability of the traction system rather than his own self.....

and why is he replying with cap locks......

Why wouldn't you have "summer tyres" all year round...

Besides - do they even make or recommend using a 300 odd width Z-rated snow tyre???

The thing really comes down to common sense... right?

Like the SUV roll-over stories... the root cause was people driving with under inflated tyres until they failed... (the result is federally mandated tyre pressure monitoring systems.. ) and then those fools who simply whip the wheel around and wonder why their top-heavy SUV rolled over...

In the military we had a neat term... CDF... Common Dog Fuck - some people have is... and others just don't... those are the folks who would cut their hands off if the lawn mower didn't have a warning sign that said "Danger - spinning blades cut"... heheheh

What he needs is a Mercedes or a Lexus where electronic nanny stops u from doing stupid things 90% of the time.

Or put it in RC's example, he should buy lawn mower that comes with the sticker LOL
