Default 2008 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid.... yeah, u read correctly

I would put this under "Breaking Car News" but It just doesn't seem right

GM officially announced the production of the 2008 Cadillac Escalade hybrid and even set a target date of fall 2007. The Escalade hybrid with use the same two-mode transmission as the Chevrolet Tahoe hybrid, a move that GM says will give the big Cadillac a 25-percent improvement in fuel economy. GM's Displacement on Demand technology will also be used to reduce fuel consumption by the gasoline engine.

GM says will give the big Cadillac a 25-percent improvement in fuel economy.
ahahahaahahahah.... no no, i'm sure it can do that... :roflmao:

:roflmao: :lame: So with the 25% improvement in mileage it gets what, 15mpg in the city according to the EPA(previous version had 12mpg in the city), but in reality that 15 is probably in the low 10's. That is still pathetic.

Hey an improvement is an improvement.. If your gonna buy an escalade anyway then the hybrid is a good thing. I doubt anyone would be dumb enough to buy it cause it is a hybrid in liu of something else.

the real question:
does fuel consumption x .25 x (yearly average fuel cost regular escilade) x 5 years = the cost of buying two powerplants?
