This is fairly old news, but it's Honda's attempt to make a very efficient aircraft, which means they used a lot of carbon fiber and very efficient engines. Now have they been in the aeronautic business for awhile or is this new thing for them>

Honda have never manufactured their own airplanes, to my knowledge, but the Japanese zaibatsu make all sorts of things, so I'd assume that they have had experience in making aircraft parts.

They have Honda ads featuring this plane. As if people are going to buy Hondas because they've made a plane as well.
