Default Sport Auto: Corvette Z06 vs Viper SRT-10

The Chevrolet is clearly faster than the Dodge:

I've already seen the test, if you or anyone else would like the full article i'll happily post it.

Anyways, the Z06 is a rocket and it's Hockenheim time is amazing. Cars in that 1:11 -- sector include:

996 GT3RS: 1:11.8
Zonda S: 1:11.8
997 GT3: 1:11.7
996 GT2 MK2: 1:11.6

It's extremely close to the Pagani Zonda F too: 1:10.8

"nearly perfect, powerful engine, the chassis and supsension stand the charges of a challenging track like the Nurburgring easily, exact gear shifts and an easy clutch, slight oversteeer leads to best lap time"

"even thogh the clutch feelsa abit weak it stands the power of the 8-cylinder engine"

Very nice performance, even if the test car didn't reach the acceleration numbers of previous tests. Probably the best value for money these days!

The Audi R8 is only 1 second slower at Hockenheim and the Gallardo Superleggera beats it with ease. Good numbers anyway.

1 full second is big.

Not surprised, and it's about time America regains the respect that has been due for quite a while

Thanks Just Me

on a tight track like Hockenheim, 1 second is HUGE, meaning the car made up in the turns as well

Also, i'm wondering where the lap times of the Gallardo Superlagerra are since gangajas is mentioning it...
