Default New M3 Test Drive

Wringing it out:

I think people will complain about the aggressive brake pads that squeal...

8400rpm is quite impressive, and such a great noise

Looks like great fun to drive as well, very nice review!

60+ euro OMG is that price going to reflect here in USA directly? I remember M3s were 48k to 58k.

And before that...they were $35k for E36. M3 has definitely gone up in price like it has in weight...

Nice Vid but there where couple of small corrections to make...

Why didn't they mention about the 3.2l 321hp version about the E36 M3. It seems that everybody skips that over when talking about M3 model history.
That poor translator informed that former M3's where with V6 engine. Won't they ever learn

You guess wrong The journalists said it was because BMW for the launch, fitted the cars with race style brake pads for better friction, it`s notorious that BMW`s brakes are not the best of the lot.

This way they tried to impress the press a little bit more, although with some old bastards in the job, this wasn`t easy

^I can't believe they'd do that.

Believe it I think 4 mags `til now reported this.

It`s not the first time that they play around with numbers and/or parts
The best other example was with SMG`s III gearchange times.
They said 60-85 ms for a gearchange, that was correct sort of.......
Yet there was a catch :60-85 to change form one cog to another WITHOUT clutching and declutching The total time was around 200ms IIRC.

This was brought to the surface by guys who owned both the M6 and F430.

Ahhh those litle tricks the marketing depart make......even in my country there are auto journalists that even nowadays don`t know that the SMG III doesn`t shift that fast
