Guys, don't get all sad. it was a prototype 997 and they are destroyed anyway. All prototypes are either disjoint or go into the junk press. Mercedes is keeping them for spareparts. i once saw a television show were they crushed a whole trucktailer of Jaguar Xks, that were used during development. But also, some pre testers from the dodge Viper were used in the television series viper. But due to the fact that some of them were secretely sold, the producers got into hot waters. I also know that some OEMs sell the cars for little money to Suppliers. But they have to sign that they will only use them for testing and scrap them after they are done.

So the 911 would have been put to pieces anyway. no big deal

You don't make it sound any better. I knew that they scrap prototype cars, but it doesn't mean that it's not wrong. Like that Aston that's going around the Ring in your avatar. Or that Ford GT that did 212 at Nardo. Or all the other mules that did so much, just to be killed. The whole thing makes me sick.

Sucks, but hey, it's just a car. A prototype at that.

And it's a 997 at the beginning of its production not like it's some super rare classic with only a handful left in the world.

Well, my kinda art though. You need absolutely no talent. Your hands stay clean and still people talk.
Considering how ugly the guy is, he probably must have been thinking of really innovative ways to get laid. Become an "artist" for example.
Next time maybe a few members here can teach him that there are less scary and more effective ways to use a Porsche to get P::::y
