Hehe, looks like Hamiltons first mistake by hiting his rear wheel in the wall and getting that puncture actually helped him a TON by being smart and refueling him heavy.
Nice strategy and of course luck
Still I was hoping for a better result from Ferrari.

Disappointed ITV didn't speak with kimi. I want to hear what he has to say about the whole Sutil fiasco.

Pretty terrible

But go Hamilton!

McLaren were great strategists during the race. Hamilton's crash proved pretty fortuitous, but the McLaren crew still did a hell of a good job re-planning the rest of the race. Ferrari were conservative and planned for rain, but that didn't happen. I think Williams fell into that trap with Kubica as well, but he had more pace than Massa. Massa over-shooting the first corner while leading proved costly.

Rainy days seem to allow opportunities for the smaller teams. Sutil had a great race until getting rear-ended. Webber was consistently one of the fastest drivers apart from the period after his last pit stop when he slithered around on his slicks. He's really had a good season this year, unlike Coulthard. Alonso, on the other hand, went berserk, and lost himself a swag of points because of over-eagerness.

Raikonnen had a horror race - drive through penalty and two nose cone changes after accidents. And poor Sutil! He'd done nothing wrong, and then Raikonnen hit a wet spot, lost control and clobbered him. What rotten luck!

You know Kubica is with BMW right? Williams is a seperate team nowadays..
Nice summary - it really was a race of lost fortunes. Add Heidfeld / Rosberg to that list too..

Rain in Monaco made for a very interesting race. That (replay,) the Indy 500, the Coca Cola 600, and the end of the 24 hours of Nurburgring made today a great day for Motorsports coverage.

Way to take out Sutil, Kimi . . . a rapid series of talented and selfish saves right into an undeserving car.

YEAH Kubica!!
Gascoyne was very disappointed about the result that he called for the stewards to "act accordingly" (through a race-ban for Kimi perhaps):

"The frustration is that if that had been a Force India driver hitting a world champion we would expect to get a one or two race ban, but when it is the other way around it is disappointing that the stewards... well you know I hope they look at it and act accordingly," said Gascoyne.
After reviewing the incident, the stewards decided that no further action should be taken.

Good to hear that Sutil didn't seem too bitter about it:
"It was a great race with an incredibly sad ending," he said. "We could have had fourth place. It's incredible bad luck that Kimi crashed into me. He obviously didn't do it on purpose."
While he hasn't personally apologized to Sutil, Raikkonen said he was sorry about the incident.

That was a very exciting race though despite all the disappointments.

I was really rooting for Kubica as 2nd but the result was good enough.

Vettel also did impressive to land in 5th. I'm not sure how he did it though, I didn't see him on-cam for most part of the race.

Heidfeld and Kovalainen are once again unlucky.

Piquet Jr, Bourdais and Glock should be very worried.

Oh. and what the heck was P. Diddy doing there?!?

EDIT: More bad luck for Sutil
The FIA representatives officially warned the Force India driver for overtaking three drivers under yellow flags on lap 13.

"The stewards warn the driver of car 20 as to his future behaviour," part of the stewards' statement issued at Monte Carlo read.

Yeah, just a slip of the pen. Or keyboard.

There was nothing Raikonnen could have reasonably done to avoid the accident. He hit a wet patch whilst braking and with wet slicked tyres, he was doomed.
