I kind of lost interest in that game after I sold my Voodoo 5 5500 to get a Geforce 4 4200 Ti. The new card didn't have as good graphics (lack of good 3dfx engine support) as the Voodoo did. The same happened with F-22 Lightning II.

3dFX had created "open GL" .... and were the undisputed masters of open gl .... nvidia had open gl support witht he GeForce 4200+ however, it never ran as silk smooth as even a Voodoo 3 series.
