Years ago the owners of Road Atlanta spent boatloads of money to redo that facility to make it FIA compliant when the FIA was considering a race here in the states, of course the winner was Indy.

I think Detroit would help out with the Canadians also getting in on it, like the Red Bull Air Race, but I'd love to see in Chicago. And if you ever been to downtown Chicago it you see how perfect of a setting it would be for a street race along the lake and through millennium/grant park. And the skyline is the perfect back drop, but this all wishful thinking.

A downtown Chicago race reminds me of that pivotal scene in Driven.

I like the idea of a street circuit in NY and while Detroit would be cool, not sure that it would really help the economy out there, it might but I can't see that many people from MI being able to afford to go to that, so maybe the Canucks could help but I think NY or Vegas would work. How about a night race in Downtown Vegas with all the casino lights.
