my ride in the new 458 Italia
The car absolutely shines there! The car is almost as good on acceleration as it is on deceleration, and on the high speed sweeper leading to the front straight, the car is planted like nothing I've been in before. It is amazing that the car isn't on slicks! Even in a race car, I haven't felt a built up g-load like that!
pardon the crappy video... considering how I was holding my cell phone, I think it turned out ok.

You lucky SOB, though, I'd much rather be driving one.
Is that a bit of a gut I am seeing?

Still looking at another 30 lbs to rid myself of give or take. Always a process. What I can do physically today I couldn't even think about 18 months ago... 7 minute mile, I'm aiming at a 25 minute 5k this fall, 8 standard pull ups, one armed push ups... and... backflips from an elevated surface. I think I'm trying to relive some lost athletic 20's. Unfortunately, doing so means I'm attempting stupid things periodically. I bruised a stabilizer muscle doing a backflip two weeks ago, and strained a tendon water skiing.
So, the stabilizer muscle is healed now, but the tendon needs more recovery before I restart my upper body workouts.
My next stupid goal... rock climbing

Yes, Waterford Hills is a very tight, but technical course. The closest good track to exploit the car's abilities is Mid Ohio. Gratten isn't bad. Too bad the dealer chooses to have their track days the closest to metro Detroit...

What weight are you currently at?
Why in the world are you doing backflips? I have 12 years of Martial Arts behind me and I still have yet to do a backflip.
Rock climbing bores me. It's just too slow. I'll play Chess when I want a slow activity. Now fast repelling down an uneven side, that is fun.

210 lbs. +-
Rock climbing is definitely a hell of a workout, and a great feeling of accomplishment... I haven't even attempted it since 2001, where I did OK... but was 175 lbs, but not nearly as much upper body strength.
Why backflips? Because I never did, or could before LOL
I started just doing backflips off the raft at my cottage up north into the water... so zero danger of any broken neck.
Next, I started with trampoline back flips, as recorded by my 4 year old nephew. I'll tell you, I was nervous as hell the first time!
When I bruised my left calf stabilizer, I landed pretty hard from about 4 ft. up... but I landed
What I should have done is do it onto a padded surface gym location. Oh well.
