Beautiful job with the camera in that VbD bit of the CGT!! The car seems to really fly past. You get a good impression of how agile it is. Thanks Alien! 0X

Three new videos uploaded to draak's webspace:
Crazy Spanish Car Competition.mpg (6.97M)
How It's Made - Cars.avi (17.0M)
Porsche Cayenne - Accelerate at Apex (Commercial).mpg (5.1M)
The "How It's Made" show basically gives the step-by-step behind the scene of a manufacturing plant. If you want to know how they assemble a car (a van in this case), watch it. More clips will be available later tonight, stay tuned

One more video for tonight:
Victory by Design - Ferrari - Enzo, F50, F40.mpg (6.3M)
Would really appreciate feedback on the quality of the video. It's capped using my new cap card and software and I want to know whether the quality is better or worse.

Alien,
Some feedback:
It is a good quality vid, perhaps a bit more hazy, than e.g. the VbD Jaguar capturing you did earlier, when you watch both at full screen. But that's all as far as I'm concerned.
BTW: use a GeForce FX5600 video chipset and the latest version of BS Player.

Actually, the video quality does matter quite a bit. Try to play a video on an old nvidia card, like the tnt2, and compare that to a new ATI card like a radeon 8500/9800. You'll see a huge difference in quality, especially when decoding mpeg1/2.
There seems to be quite a lot of interference and noise when using the built in tv tuner. I used to cap through the vcr so maybe that makes the difference in quality. Not sure whether I want to go back or not since I can now program all the weekly shows in the schedule and have them recorded automatically. Won't have to miss a show anymore, not to mention all the time saving
Check out the Ferrari 550 Maranello Barchetta video in the vault (just uploaded, should be available soon), it's encoded slightly differently. Looking forward for more feedback.

Thx Alien, but it's so interesting that that uses a Ford Windstar as a demonstration, doesn't Ford has more interesting cars to show for assembly?

5vz-fe,
Having visited the Dutch NedCar car assembly plant in Born back in 1992 and early in spring this year I can assure you that production of 'more interesting' cars follows more or less the same lines.
BTW it was very fascinating to see how NedCar used 1 production- & assembly line for the production of Mitsubishi's Carisma and Volvo's S40 and V40.

If you guys like the "How It's Made" show, there're a few more car related ones coming in the next few months... including car radiators, batteries and brakes.
