Kung Fu Panda - 8/10 pretty nice, the Panda was such a stereotupical american it was kinda funny. some very funny moments in there, but the whole prospect of the movie annoyed me. how can a fat flappy dude without any goals, but simply a dream get it right in a couple of weeks against a full fledged warrior who has been doing it for centuries... duh that was kinda lame.

but the movie is good for the lols values

My most recent viewings have been Street Kings, The Bank Job, Vantage Point and Hancock. Street Kings was pretty good and I enjoyed it as much as I could in a cramped aircraft seat with the fat woman in front reclining her seat to the max. The Bank Job I've talked about it the dedicated topic and that was close to movie of the year stuff for me. Vantage Point was incredibly confusing in the beginning and it really only came together towards the end. The end result was a disjointed movie that simply wasn't that enjoyable to watch. However, my parents have watched a DVD and they thought it was excellent. Perhaps it was the fat woman in front ruining my viewing experience.

I actually paid money to see Hancock. I wish I didn't. I went with an old mate of mine who I hadn't seen for awhile and we both thought it was rubbish. There were elements of a good plot brewing, but it was somehow lost. You can't blame the actors - it's just not a good movie and was never to be one.

Hancock was rubbish 6/10. Dark Knight was really good 9/10. Ledger played the Joker very well. I just wanted to laugh at the Nicholson Joker. This one was not comical at all, he seemed more like a very real life psycho serial killer. I didn't read or see any previews so I was very surprised that Two Face made an actual appearance. I thought they were going to wait for the next installment to make Dent turn to the darkside; gruesome and awesome looking. Nice job all around.

I just saw The Score, with De Niro and Ed Norton. Great movie, great acting, really enjoyable. 8/10.

Hancock was alright...I miss half of it becouse I was d....doesn't matter. I liked it.
7/10
After that the Phatology or smt like that, now that sucked big time. Usually theese new horror movies are fun and discusting a bit, but this was boring. I usually get scared atleast one time in theese movies not in this one, can't believe they made it. I was begging for it to stop at some point becouse I was so bored.
3/10 (only becouse it was discusting at some scenes)

HellBoy, skip it. I almost fell asleep watching it. It was pretty boring and the humor was dry. Meh. 6.5/10

Yeah, I liked the first one too. I just wasn't amazed by the visuals, story was alright, and I was honestly really bored throughout the whole movie. There wasn't any one point that had me on the edge of my seat of made me laugh. Maybe I expected too much walking in, after some of my friends hyped it up too much.

The Dark Knight - 9/10. Really very well done. The movie is much more of a character study of the Joker than the Batman in some ways, but that doesn't really take anything away from it. The movie is well-written, the dialogue between primary characters is good, and each event in the movie flows well from the preceding events. The Dark Knight has some very interesting social commentary and raises some interesting questions about the human condition. I wasn't sure how I felt about it at first, but it is perhaps the best Batman movie to-date, as it is a proper stand-alone movie in and of itself, it just isn't quite as much of a Batman comic-book flick.

I was just telling RC the same thing yesterday. The movie is very heavy; but there were some similarities to how Begins was done.

Begins undertones were "you must learn to do what it takes, even at the cost of lost lives" (in some other words that Ras al Gould was teaching)

The Dark Night was "being the hero we need, and not hero who is necessary" (again, something like that)

But, that was only a small part of the movie.

Heath did a fantastic job... in many ways.... he is definitely the most psychopathic, demented, and twisted character, right to the root of his core I have ever seen in a movie.

The movie is a lot to think about; and may not have been the best thing to see the night before getting up early to drive something very cool...

It is dificult to encompass the entirety of the film in a small review... but the two-word review.

Fantastic, heavy.
Heath did at least as good as Day-Lewis in "there will be blood"
