GM can do what Ford did with Aston Martin and have another company make the transmission and a decent one at that. Correct me if i'm wrong but i was under the assumption that BMW and Audi are the only car companies that make their sequential tranny's in house, not even Ferrari.

Which is exactly what I said.
The C6R has paddles because it has a sequetial transmission.

I thought you meant that it has a lever.
Anyway what is the big difference you were talking about?

I actually heard the same, but if you compare it to their supercharged engines, it's far superior.

Having a paddleshift for an automatic transmission vs having a paddleshift for a sequential transmission.

I knew those fucking Speed TV commentators are no good dumbass rednecks who dont know jack shite about anything. One of the blokes clearly said that the C6R had "paddle shift gearbox with paddles on the steering column" in one of the ALMS race coverages.

On SPEED's 30 min special on the Z06 they have a C6R going around road Atlanta, and in the cockpit view you can clearly see it is stick sequential, one of those tall ones right next to the steering wheel that move like 1.5" back to shift.
