I've played role games several times but definitely I don't like them. Perhaps I don't have enough imagination to enter into that world but playing these kind of games bore me...

Same for me. I dislike RPGs. And I have heard of dungeons & dragons. I just didn't know what the heck D&D was.

My older brother plays it. He sort of explained it to me, but he explained me how the tournaments are put together and how expensive it is, TOO much profit taken from that. He told me about being able to use the last 2 releases or some stuff so I lost all interest. Besides, I rather play basketball and lift weights

IMO just the base idea.. vaguely... the "real" RPG go way more indepth and are way more involving

yeah looks like you've never tried it out MTG has nothing to do with the RPG thing (except for the card pictures, wich however have absolutely no effect on the game). It's a logical/strategic game, I guess you can better compare it to chess than to AD&D.
