wow, mouth-watering experience. and those pics are pretty quality as well (nice shots of the details too - stuff that's often missed in mags etc). Masers really are nice cars - glad they're making a comeback

a truley lucky guy, i get what you are saying.
to get a test drive you have to walk the walk, talk the talk.
be confident and in control, thats the kind of person they will lend a car to.
looks totaly amazing, congrats on the 280km/h.. if only you could of gotten that 5km more

I think it would be near impossible for us to go to Alf Barbagallo and get a Maserati for 7hrs without supervision
BTW, komotar did you have to leave a credit card or anything in case you didn't come back

Nothing in impossible.
I didn't leave anything.
You have to show your personal document.
They take a look at it and write some stuff down, then you get a paper that says you are alowed to drive this car.....

i know of a 25 year old who purchased a brand new 360 modena from alf barbagallo, so it isn't anything these salesman haven't seen before.
indeed, nothing is impossible.

Sounds like loads of fun, komotar! Thanks for the story and pictures!
Did you lead the salesman to believe you were genuinly interested in buying one to get a testdrive like that?

well.........khmkhm yes khm.....
Sometimes I feel bad about this......but I always take as little of the salesmane's
time as possible. Maybe 5 - 10 min. That's it.
Not that the salesman at the Ferrari and Maserati dealership is realy buisy.......
And what the hell, I got fed up with all the cool cars rolling by and not knowing what that feels like......to drive a fast or a luxurious car....
What botheres me the most, that when I will have the money to buy something similar ( and I will ), all these models will probably be replaced and old.
And I can't let them go to "waste" before I drive them....I just feel bad when all these nice cars are on the market and I can't (yet) afford them, so I do something about it.....
You know what I mean?
In 10 or 15 years time the latest 6 series or the new SLK, the maser or whatever will be old cars, and I'll be able to say, I drove these cars in their prime time.......at 21-22-23 years old.
That's it
Let the flaming begin.....

You won't get any flaming from me on this. lol I can understand perfectly.
It was just a question about how exactly they came to lending you the car for a whole day. Nothing more, nothing less.
