Gotta say, trance is one of my favorite types of music, and Tiesto is without a doubt the most renouned DJ in the world right now, and has been for the past few years. If you look where he's toured, he truly has an incredible global influence (I mean, he played in front of the entire world at the Olympics... ) After all, most trance lacks words and that leaves just the music, the rhythm and dance which transcends all language barriers. Digression aside, I've seen Tiesto spin live a few times, and i found it thoroughly enjoyable. Sux that you can't go, and I know how u feel. I've tried and failed to see Armin van Buuren spin for four years, either due to failed fake ID or me missing his tour by a day or two (cross my fingers december 11th may be the night of fulfilment) Bottom line, stick with it and perhaps eventually you'll see this legendary DJ spin...

Tiesto is a DJ from the Netherlands who plays primarily Trance. If you're not too familiar with the genre that would explain not knowing him...
getting old? well if the age in your profile is honest then I must be getting old too

haha to each his own I guess. for me Trance is far far from being my favorite music genre, but I still enjoy it. When it comes to electronica I'm more of a house guy myself, but I would be extremely happy to see Tiesto live
