Just back from the midnight show.
Probably the greatest fighting scenes ever filmed. I would give it a B+ almost an A-. I didn't like the political back story that much or it would have been higher. (although that back story ended very well, it was a little slow)
Rated R and for good reason. Lots of blood, limbs being cut off, naked women and naked mystical Persian orgy shit with a hunchback.
Awsome bad guys, great filming. Spartans had a pretty good technique for killing the bad guys. The midnight crowd really got into it.
Remember I also liked Smoking Aces.
Enjoy.

i second that motion, i just watched it at imax but i was so close to the front it kinda ruined it, but the fight scenes were great and i actually thought the political back story went well with the over all story........ fucking hunchback.

All 57 IMAX theatres in the United States were sold out for their Friday 12:01 am showings. Some theatres added a 2:30 am showing to handle the crowds.

Great movie, IMHO it is tough to impress me with most movies these days, and this film really impressed me.
Some nice tits in it too
I don't know if i'll see it again before its out on dvd or something... but I will buy it. This movie made up for the crap that was Troy, and the very boring, but historically accurate "Alexander"
Damn fun to watch.
