guys i still can't see why will weight be a problem for the veyron? weight matters if u have low power and normal brakes, then weight will be the reason for ur car not accelerating and brakes aren't strong enough to make the car stop (just like the SLR)
though the bugatti weighs 1890 Kg, it still can accelerate to 60 as fast as an F1 car, and thought it weighs 1890, it brakes so good! and weight can be an advantege making the car more stable if the bugatti was weighing 1230 like a Zonda F it will have a much larger rear spoiler so it doesn't take off..

You apparently never watched the mclaren f1 try to corner.

".....according to Dr Schreiber the quoted 1888kg kerb weight of the Veyron is in fact a dry weight. To get a truer figure you need to allow for 100 litres of fuel, 40 litres of water for engine cooling, 15 litres of water for the twin chargecooler circuit, 20 litres of engine oil, a further 22 litres for the gearbox and another 15 litres for hydraulics, brakes, etc. That puts the weight closer to 2100 kg."

^^^ you know that's true.
i honestly can't think (even though i haven't keeped up with german cars much) of a bmw super car.
not a super sedan. they have the capabilities no doubt and the technology. all they need is a design that's strays away from the luxurious sports sedan.
as for the veyron, its hard to handle a heavy car (2 tons? wtf!) on a tight circuit.
i dont know the topgear track at all but i hear its a small tight track with enough turns to actually want to turn.

I think the real question is:
"By how much will it beat the Pagani??"
We've already seen what cars with lots of power can do. Just see the Ford GT, that is no wonder in handling, but with the power it has, overtook the 360CS and the GT3RS!
