I really thought that a manufacturer with Formula 1 experience would produce some machine with a crazed emphasis on performance (handling that is) i.e. something like... enzo? heh, maybe asking for too much. Not purely the most performance bred machine, but then again, it is a merc - desirable luxury car.

With that being said, it has a place in my heart for its incredible engine performance, elegant aesthetics... its a saloon with 2 doors; a car for the man who lacks the initiative to change gears on his own

^^ I don't think the handling is that much of a problem, considering the time it did around Top Gear's test track.

Relative to its competitors, to some degree. I suppose driving the thing will be an entirely different story... loads of grins there.

Theres something minipulative about the SLR's looks...
