Man mauled while trying to convert lions

TAIPEI — A lion mauled a man after climbing into an enclosure at Taipei Zoo on Wednesday. The 46-year old man stood in front of two African lions and tried to convert them to Christianity. The man repeatedly shouted, "Jesus will save you" before the large male lion bit his right leg and arm. Zoo workers used tranquilizer guns and water hoses to drive the lions away from the intruder. Local reports said the man could have been more seriously injured if the lions had not been fed earlier in the day.
