Webspace can be bought anywhere in the world. You don't necessarily have to buy webspace in your own country.

It's always the structure of the market that's to blame. Over here there's also the former national telecom company that still holds sort of a monopoly on the lines. Other companies can rent the lines against what should be competitive prices. Then there's also one company that offers internet via cable. Back at uni I've heard that the national railways also have an extensive network that could be used by others for data transfer. I wonder what will come of that.

Webspace can be bought anywhere in the world. You don't necessarily have to buy webspace in your own country.
Webspace? I think he mean you can have an internet connection at 512k with a 6 GB limit that's not a website

there are a million ISP's better than telstra

they are infact the worst isp of them all (yet they have the most users)

there are dozens and dozens of unlimited ISP's too....the best of which in my opinion is DART

go to www.broadbandchoice.com.au and search in ur city and choose what u want and choose unlimited...u'll see the options.

but whatever u do...don't stay with telstra!!!!!!
