This Lancer Evolution IX is not just an ordinary EVO, it is an electric one. The Electric EVO has been build by Mitsubishi to participate in an electric rally at the japanese isle of Shikoku.
Like all EVOs, it is 4WD. This is realised by connecting 4 electronic motors direct to the wheels. These motors deliver 67hp each, what means a total power of 272 hp, almost as much as a regular EVO (280hp). This vehicle is still a prototype, but Mitsubishi has announced that they will build an mass produced vehicle in 2010.
