the weird thing is: Ferrari uses the prancing horse and is well known for it, but in the beginning Ferrari and Ducati (the (very cool) Italian motorbike) were both using it, but Ferrari was the first to claim it.

both of them were using it on their race machines. when Ferrari became a manufacturer of road cars as well he was first to claim it to use in his road and race cars.

But even before Enzo got to building his own cars he used to stick those "cavallino" badges on Alfa Romeo cars that he used to race (really big ones on the sides).

That may be true, but I have also read somewhere before that this is somehow linked to Stuttgart. Notice the shield emblem in the center of the Porsche crest.

Maybe the Italian ace pilot took it from a downed plane? That pilot may have been from Stuttgart. I don't really know, just providing a juicier story.

its so simple guyz ....
from the startin ferrari had been makin performance cars .........
(once upon a time the horse was the ruler of the jungles or somethin like tht because of its speed and agility ) ........ so maybe thats why enzo choose the horse .... (the smiling smily)
the reason for the horse standing on two legs (or whatever u guyz call tht) is to show tht it can do alot more then just running ..... (the eye winking smily)
from the starting lamborghini built tractors ........
(once upon a time when man was created the only usefull heavy duty and powerfull thing he could find to plough the fields and stuff was the bull ) ............ so maybe thats y lamborghini choose the bull ...... (the smiling smily again)
the reason fot it being a raging bull is that it can do hella more then a normal bull ... (the eye winkinn smily again )
sry guyz ... the emoticons not working .......my IE's got some _u_k_n_ problem ....(the embarraced smily)
