Not really agree with you mate The last is, for me, the 456 GT / F355. But the F360 was quite good too ... I suppose we'll get used to the new 575 ...
|
I first thought that the 550 looked just like the Supra from the front with similar intake positioning. But i think it is an awesome GT design with classic Daytona-esque detailing -long snout, short deck, tail lights.
the lineage to classic cas like the Daytona and 275 is clear
In my mind it is the best modern driver's Ferrari and great VFM compared to a used 360 or 355
The 456 is really elegant - I agree and the 355 a timeless classic. It is just not the most reliable of Ferraris. So says I before I get horsewhipped by Jabba for insulting his car

As I already said in the other topic I think it looks really nice. Some things could be better, specially the wheels but in general it looks really cool.
And yes, it reminds me of the Corvette and so what?? It is a beautiful car... I don't see where's the problem

I like it, but I have some thoughts about the rear.
However I think it would have looked better with the Pininfarina Rosso nose, but this one is also allright to me. I.M.O these small pics misrepresent the lines of the car, in the higher res they looked much better.
I also think it will look stunning in real like the 612 does, which looks much better in real than on pics.

I surely need some time and more pics to appreciate it but for now I don't really like it
As I had the same reaction for the Enzo and the F430 that I now love, I feel confident

Well this is definately the real deal...To be debuted at Geneva Auto Show 2006. The following is from Leftlanenews.
With the release of the 599 GTB Ferrari is presenting its most powerful V12-engined production car of all time. Amedeo Felisa, Ferrari’s Vice General Manager will announce today at the Detroit Motor Show the birth of the latest model developed in Maranello. The new car is a concentration of Ferrari’s most innovative and technologically advanced engineering solutions applied to a mid-front engined two-seater coupé. The result is a new benchmark for performance, driver involvement and design. The Ferrari 599 GTB boasts class-leading power thanks to its 5,999cc V12 - derived directly from the Enzo Ferrari supercar – which produces no less than 620hp at 7,600 rpm for a weight/power ratio of just 2.6 kg per horsepower.
Ferrari has adopted the latest evolution in its tried and tested all-aluminium construction technology for the body and chassis. The unmistakable Pininfarina design gives the Ferrari 599 GTB aggressive yet elegant lines which are perfectly integrated with the advanced aerodynamic solutions adopted to reach the performance figures attainable.
This new model is the symbol of Ferrari’s production – the V12 berlinetta – and represents the latest interpretation of a theme that has seen such classics as the 250 GT, the 275 GTB, and the 365 GTB4
The Ferrari 599 GTB replaces the last in that great line of berlinettas, the 575M Maranello, of which – together with the 550 Maranello introduced in 1996 - no fewer than 5,700 have been produced, a record for this type of model for the Prancing Horse.

I´m not the biggest Ferrari fan ever, but I have to admit that the F430 is one of the most beautiful car I have ever seen.
So I was really hopping that they would forget the lines from the Scaglietti and go on with the F430 look, but for my surprise they didn´t so I´m quite disappointed specially with the tail back.
Anyway let´s see how it looks in person.

I'm even starting to like it , especially that cabin used to look like a small hut . The tail seems to be nice , the only think that I am still not sure are this giles placed on the doors ...
