i have a pioneer or what ever that does +R and -R so is good for all things. remmeber you have to shrink movies or put them on two discs or wait for the dul layer. I burnt a copy of project gotham 2 the other day and it was too big for the disc so i had to delete so demo stuff so a dual layer would come in handy

As others have mentioned, there are two main DVD writing formats, DVD-RW and DVD+RW. A dual format writer writes to both.
