I'm interesed to find out, the different types of octane ratings that fuel in different countries have. In my country, it depends where you're situated, the higher the altitude, the less the octane rating. So at sea level, you get 97 RON, but inland you get 93... and only very occasionally find 95. If you're really willing to pay a premium and know a few people you could get 102.6, but it's only really allowed for track use.
Another thing, there was a rumour going round recently that all the petrol stations use the same fuel. The trucks that deliver the fuel to the different stations are all unmarked and look the same. So how can Shell claim it's fuel is developed specifically with ferrari, or BP claim that there fuel is heavy metal free, when it all seems to be delivered by the same depot trucks?
