I like it, the headlights could do with being even more similar to the original oval units. But what particularly grabs me is the rear guards, something about the curve in the bottom picture around where the rear wing protrudes, you can see this (to a lesser degree) in the 2nd picture. Its hard to put my finger on but it just looks great, something about it reminds me of 550 maranello rear guards.

Very nice indeed! I hope they give it that V8 soon! Even better, the Turbo V8...now that would make it fucking fast!

the don't and hopefully never will use the V-8 in a 911 the porsche 911 and boxster both use boxer (opposed) engines never a V configuration thats what allows them to fit the motors in the space available

What happens when porsche goes through 997, 998, and 999 and has to go to 1000? The Porsche 1000 sounds like a 1950's concept from ford.

Sorry, but i must say that in the last picture the front of the car reminds me the VW New Beetle...I don't like this frontal at all. I hope this is only a prototype and they will modofy that part of the car...

Not a big change at all. I never liked the idea of Porsche installing those Boxster headlamps, knowing it's a cost cutting descision but this is a 911 for Christ Sakes!

Looks fine to me!

Even more if they keep increasing the power on the turbo to over 450 Hp. IMHO the only thing that the current 996 needs is a good interiors make over, and if they're changing it to the standards set in the Cayenne, that's an EXCELLENT IDEA!

I agree that it may seem to be odd at first, but if you had the chance to actually ride in a Cayenne and not judge its interiors only by pictures, you realize it's a well-thought and ergonomically correct interior, and it also has a much better looking materials than those found in the 911 line

I say Build the thing! (and may God give me luck so I can buy a new 911 turbo 2-3 years from now!)

I love it. It's unfortunate that they had to design a car that looks more like the old model than the new one ... kind of like they're admitting the 996 was a mistake somehow. But that's okay.

I've always been kind of iffy on the 996, but I'd buy the hell out of this thing if I could afford it. Especially if the turbo gets that weird 993-style melted spoiler look going on.
