The McLaren situation with the drivers is just like the 1988 season. I think we will see a titanic battle between the two. Right now its all professional and good fun but if Hamilton continues to do well, I think it will get bitter just as it did in 1988. Good for us viewers.
Of course the car situation is not like in 1988 (Thank you very much!).
Can't imagine Felipe Massa ever playing the role of 'ole faithful' but that's just what he is to Ferrari now. Kimi apart from a superb job at Australia and a good one in Malaysia with a suffering engine, seems to have lost his way. Monaco was the first race in a long time that he had a raw speed advantage over Massa and .. he flubbed it.
It would have been a guaranteed pole if he had not hit the wall. Cripes!
Alonso was trying his best in the interview to lay one over Hamilton with repeated references to how Pole was important and how he is going to enjoy it today.
He has never had cause to do so before. Just shows that Hamilton has rattled him thoroughly.
Hamilton was cool as a cucumber and remarked that it will be an interesting race tomorrow - meaning he believes he has the better strategy. Amazing composure for one so young.
Fireworks tomorrow!!Will they make it thru unscathed thru turn 1?
Hamilton for the win!!!
