More seriously, yeah I know this new "supercar" is fast but, they need to have more than a dragster acceleration with a 1997 Volkwagen W12 concept body copy-cat to impress me in this chapter. :roll:
I know what you mean, but come on, it's freaking quick. On top of that, it doesn't take unrealistic conditions to hit its topspeed unlike the Veyron (referring to the top speed mode that is way too easy to deactivate).

In a controlled enviroment, this is faster in a straight line sure. But I'll bet you my car that on real roads, with real bumps and real weather, the Veyron would leave this melted lump of fiberglass for dead.

that's just the thing. The SSC ran on a public road whereas the Veyron only goes for top speed runs on its massive 7 mile VW test track straight. Also worth mentioning is the weight difference. The SSC is about 25% lighter than the Veyron. That should make a big difference in the corners.
