The new one, as much better it is then the previous generation, is still a far cry from a luxury SUV from BMW and such. But.... You would have no problem doing just about anything and everything in the F150... hauling, serious off roading, and towing are it's prime suits.

And anyway, get a Hilux. The F-150 is a poor product that supports a poor company, which is bringing down, Jag, Aston, Landrover and anyone else who's unlucky enough to be in the parts supply chain of a once great company. Mostly because the yanks are busy buying better built products from somewhere else.

Aston really turned around while under Ford and you shouldn't be so concerned since they have since been sold to Prodrive. Jag and Landrover will be sold soon enough. The F-150 is a fine vehicle as there is a need to haul and tow things. For a truck, it handles quite nicely.

It's not a Hilux, get overyourselves, the American car industry is at it's worst point in history, thr F is crap, no one needs a pickup, so rent a van and swivel.

Jags were crap long before Ford bought them. They are nice riding cars, but not on par with Mercedes, Audi, and BMW.

LOL at thinking a Hilux is a superb truck. They are, however, far better then the Ford Ranger, but I'd take a Chevy S10 over one 7 days a week.

My mum is a paltry 135 lbs give or take, so hauling her would be quite easy, be it a F150, or a daewoo.

As to the F150 feeding ford.... yeah, they sell more F150's every year then any car model out there... so 800,000 buyers a year can't be wrong

Millions of Americans over close to 60 years will have proved you wrong. As for the Hilux, over here, there's a 2x4 Hilux marketed as an "Action Utility Vehicle". It's basically a normal Hilux with chrome and a fancy interior. The Hilux is going downhill.

I guess you hadn't heard of toppers and tonneau covers designed for yuppie truck owners.

I thought they were to reduce resistance.

Tonneau covers are all the rage with successful tradesmen. They all buy the top of the line utes with V8 turbocharged engines, chrome bits and leather seats.
