You can look at market capitlization, sales, or profits..

I personally couldn't care less. That being said if you want to discuss it at least understand what your talking about.

Market capitalization would be second to me behind sales as the number to look out. It is in general the value of the company based on the price times number of shares.

This is great news for the Japanese, but not so great news for Americans.
The Americans have been foolishly outsourcing their products, services,
and manufacturing to foreign countries. It amazes me that the greatest
and most powerful nation on earth can be so stupid in such a fundamental
area as this. When will they learn that this is all going to contribute to their
own demise if they don't correct it immediately.

GM owns Daewoo. Though not sure if Daewoo sells cars anymore.

After General Motors corp. bought Daewoo Motor Co. they launched
the new GM Daewoo Auto & Technology Co. in november of 2002. The
company is expected to turn over a profit by 2006. So far it has been
quite an impressive turn around and their forecast looks promising,
but they still have a little ways to go.

Toyota beat out Ford for the number two spot in America quite a while ago.

As for Ford owning the pickup market, that is true and has been for some time. But Nissan should make a huge dent in the market with their Titan. Which they are pricing ridiculously cheap.

They all outsource to foreign countries. Most of toyotas american market cars are assembled in North America.

I strongly disagree. Global free trade and use of labor is a good thing. It benefits our country as long as it goes both ways(we need to make other countries do the same).

It allows for us to concentrate on those things we have a comparitive advantage. At the moment that is military technology, food, drugs, and other high research fields.

You mean biggest car company, in the world Wall Mart is the biggest
company in the world and Exxon Mobil is the second biggest.

Market capitalization would be second to me behind sales as the number to look out.

Especialy with how the stock market has been acting in the past decade or so.

I thought that Mazda had one of the highest sales numbers, and being a part of Ford, that would put them above Toyota rite? What I dont understand is who the hell buys GMs?!?! I mean, their performance cars are fine, but the Lumina, Impala, Grand-Am, Safari, etc... not exactly the best vehicles...

Average sticker on car sales is 30000. Who has the most quality cars at or above this point? (Notice I said most. Best is personal opinions.)

Not to mention foreign sales.

GM above 24-25000 is very powerful. It's just the grand am, cavalier, ect.

the corrola is already the best selling vehicle on earth..
and the camry had won countless awards in the past 15 years in north america in its class..
