Cayenne and Touraeg are built on the same plattform (just as the Peugeot 806 and Fiat Ulysse), and is therefore pretty much the same, except interior and the front.

Ok the platform is just a piece of metal... I'm not the expert here, but the Cayenne is a Porsche built on that platform, as the Touareg is a VW built on the same one, but they don't share so many components... but the member working on Cayennes is st-anger
the fiat-peugeot-citroen-lancia joint venture had much more "shared" if I remember correctly

Come on just think about this for a minute - you are buying a "soft" roader/MPV/Fashion statement. no offence, but I think there are much better choices available for the money. Buy an old Landie Defender 90 for 4x4 job which will do it properly, and then an m3/elise etc. for the fun sports car! Best of both worlds. Unless you have kids, in which case just sell them..

What are u goign to use this vehicle for ? its only appropriate to buy a 4X4 if you are going to take the car offroad... if u are not, then get a station wagon performance car like the subaru forester sTi or the audi RS6 or RS4 wagons. They are much better cars on road than the options u provide us with.

If money is not the issue then there is no difficulty deciding....there has never been an SUV like the Cayenne Turbo.....never. Forget the blinding acceleration......LOL.....the unbelieveable ability to drive it like it doesn't weigh 5700lbs.....holds the road, hunkers down literally and makes you feel like you are on one fast train. It is something to experience 'cause you won't believe you are in an SUV. I drove both machines and bought the TT......and I'm one happy Grandpa.

Well, maybe it's simply his family that need to buy that car and he forgot to explain that as always, we give everybody the benefit of the doubt and many ppl say "I have to buy a car" when in effect it's their dad's or mom's, not really their personal one
