It also sounds a lot better than standard, and goes a little quicker.
IMO (which is the one that matters 2 me) i think its made a world of difference and in a good way.
How you can tar everyone with the same brush is beyond me, TUNING encompasses a wide range of alterations to your vehicle. We aint all ricers.

I was about to buy some reglable suspensions for the 4 corners of the car, so I can change the height just in case.. then I lost the groove and post-poned that..

And since today I had a small and dumb accident exiting a car park in reverse, I fear the next money spent on the car will be to fix the minor scratch if it won't cost 2000 swiss francs

Next mods planned are teh 4-2-1 exhaust manifold from the ST 170, and a decat pipe, this is proven to give 10 brake minimum at the flywheel, and gob loads of torque throughout the rev range, its cosworth engineered, and not too expensive from ford. But over holls ive gotta sort a slight klunking on teh front right suspension, change rear wheel bearings and change my front discs. Think im gunna wack sum mintex 1144 pads in and dot 5.1 fluid too. As mine seem to fade way to easily at the moment.

you should go with some slotted and c/drilled brakes, I did that mod and I dont have ANY brake fade anymore at ANY speed!!(all the way from 130mph!!!)

slotted reduce pad glazing over yes. Drilled dont do shit other than look good.

Tuning is for people that want to individualize their cars, without making it themselves....Individualization, but with warranty.

The way I see it:

Stock--->Tuning--->Customizing

LOL, I'd kill for a nice Alpina B10 V8..

IMO rice is overdoing the visual changes of a car, with or without corresponding increase in performance. A lot of skirts and spoilers without any tuning of the engine is obviously rice. It's harder to say when the power and handling is tuned, because most skirts and spoilers enhance the aerodynamics of the car. You might claim that it is needed for high speed handling. Of course it can still be overdone.

There's a diference between rice and race!

Tuning is all relative - for my car the next steps would be adding 150hp with a head & cam, exhaust package and displacement increase...

...I guess you could call 500rwhp rice...

Difference between tuning an rice in my opinion is like the difference between RUF, Alpina or AMG - and whatever you could achieve in a car park through mail order.

Tuning is building a superior vehicle by upgrading every aspect of the original product; engine, brakes, suspention, aerodynamics, interior and so forth in order to make the whole vehicle a homogenous unit. As opposed to slapping on a chip, cone filter and the noisiest exhaust you can afford, lowering it on stock shocks, lots of cheap ice, neon, blinking leds, dragon decor... then it is usually a matter of putting up with an inferior car (comapered to stock) for the looks.

Which is mods for looks, which is rice.
