The Ford Puma test is ALWAYS confused with the Ford Focus test...

The Ford Puma test was of course 'The 1997 TopGear Car Of The Year' where Jeremy & Quentin said they loved it - then came that terrific line from Quentin "there's only one reason the Ford Puma isn't our TopGear Car Of The Year...TIFF HASN'T DRIVEN IT YET!!!!!!!!!!!!!" (This one is easily to distinguish from The Ford Focus segment - In the Ford Puma, Tiff drove in the front, Jeremy in the front with Tiff with Quentin in the back.

The Ford Focus one was excellent as Vicki was in the back too (lucky Quentin )

YES, THE M3 CLS TEST WITH JEREMY WAS AT THE 'ISLE OF MANN'.

p.s

I've always wanted to get the Ford Focus one - maybe Jabba can help us with that one (hint, hint)

My favourite was on the last episode...when he was racing the 996 GT3 against a Gazelle chopper. Really epic stuff their from Tiff. And I also liked the 'Carpark getaway' episode.
No - like I said above - Ford Puma & Ford Focus are VERY similar...

Haven't seen the '996 GT3 -vs- Gazelle chopper' feature yet. (I'm waiting to become a fully fledged member (hint, hint).

Once I'm accepted, I'll post some terrific articles (ie. McLaren F1 articles, etc. etc.)

Difficult to choose from all those magical Tiff moments
The first 5 which spring into my mind, in random order, are:
> the 'old' BMW M5
> the McLaren F1
> the Ferrari Enzo
> the Lamborghini Gallardo
> the Porsche 911 GT3 vs Gazelle
And obviously all the head to heads with Vix

The Ford Focus video sounds interesting. So it's similar to the Puma one? Can't seem to find it anywhere

I have to agree with the McLaren F1 test, that was awesome, but I also love the time that he took the Top Gear crew out in the Rolls Royce Corniche and threw that sideways round a circuit!

What is a "Gazelle" apart of an animal?

I haven't seen the McLaren F1 one, but I definitely like the Enzo. At first he was timid about finally driving an ENZO but after a lap or so, he let that bad boy ripped. =)

I don't know wether I liked the Mclaren or the Enzo test more. You could see the sheer enjoyment on his face in the McLaren, and what looked to be fear when he drove the Enzo... Not sure which I liked more, but these take up the top 2 spots of my favorites.

Third is the F40 vs Jaguar XJ220. There was nothing too spectacular in it, but I absolutely love both cars.

Fourth is the one where he tried to kill the Porsche 911. The bugger just wouldnt die.

- In my opinion - Although I wasn't overly impressed with Tiff's driving on the Enzo test (he only had 5 laps to get used to it - he had a whole day in the McLaren F1), what did impress me was when all the journalists were told to leave the traction control on. On the video, we see a journalist CRAWLING around the circuit trying to get as much time as possible in the car - Tiff goes flat out, throws in a few slides and within half a lap says, "I'm sorry...I can't drive a Ferrari with that on...I think I've hit the right button..."

By the end, Tiff had the quickest lap of all the journalists, but was admittedly, a few seconds off the Enzo Test Driver who gets to drive it everyday. (although, I bet the test driver didn't have to contend with TV cameras, powersliding or a running commentary of how the car feels + the rest of Tiff's journlism duties...that is what is so great about Tiff - He can lap a track almost as quick if not the same as the best drivers, but amazingly have a personality while he's doing it.

p.s

Aren't you referring to Jeremy Clarkson's 'Most Outrageous video in the World' when you mention F40 -vs- XJ220 + the numerous attempts to destroy a 911? (what a waste.... )

Most likely. I saw both of them a long time ago and have lost the video files ever since. When I saw them (year ago or so?), I was just getting into Top Gear and 5th Gear and couldn't tell the difference between Tiff and Clarkson. ops:
