Yes the car itself the AMV8 was a prototype but they will make it 2005! That prototype was shown before the DB9 came out so I suppose they took some similarities from the AMV8 and did the DB9. AMV8 pics have been out long time ago, however, they WILL produce it. It has been shown on autoshows, or at least in one of em.

The new Aston has nice gauges as well as very fancy door handles..........
and that all crystal start button.......That honda S2000 really make the start button trend eh. (or is it the Z8 create this trend......I know I know there are other super cars that have this start button thingy long time ago...but ...)

"In fact the design brief was to make the car look like a muscular athlete wearing a tailor-made suit." -from the article.
i think that sums up the design pretty well 8)

some styling cues are the same thaats for sure, but the AMv8 is very much a different car, priced to be around 100-150,000 britsh pounds, its to go head to head with the 360 , gallardo etc. the DB9 is the DB7 replacement, and was the db7 ever a car to be compared to 360's and turbos? i think not, and now that the db9 is a worthy successor to the db7 its more of a car to be compared to the 612 scag!

Callen: I had heard 100-130k USD, not Pounds Sterling. Big difference there. 150k pounds will get you a Vanquish.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you....the DB9 is not the concept AM V8 Vantage that you saw last year....the V8 will be in the works within the next 18 months to 2 years.
