Maybe we do want a political discussion thread eventually, to vent some steam. But it spilled over to other forums the last time. Maybe if the admins started banning offenders like swatting flies, maybe we can make it work?

There is a conclusion with very likely justification, even if he didn't bother to do any himself. I'm not big brother, but I don't think either of us can say it was an attempt to paint all Obama supporters that way; rather pointing out that some of them might be that way is funny enough as is. The only one who seems to make such absolute statements here is you.

She's an angry person who bothers to post things on the internet. I wouldn't doubt that she gets a similar amount of emotional response from a casual following of political soundbites. She undoubtedly has plenty of chances to access such news given that she posts videos herself.

Like I said, your best bet was the apathy/non-voter option. I contend that given her agro tendencies, she is, unfortunately, politically aware to some extent. If you accept that premise, although I doubt you do, it is most likely that she would be an Obama supporter. Any political party has supporters that it ought not be proud of (although they don't mind the votes in the final count), so don't make such absolutist conclusions.

I was defending you, but calling names isn't doing you any favors. Atleast throw in some justification next time.

Use a smiley more often. I learned that the hard way. But anyways, a joke can go a long way and can offend someone, especially if it has a political subcontext, which is a no-no. We do sometimes go out of our way to sound offensive, but we usually make it obvious that we're joking, and we never do that about politics. So no more of those.

heh, just to clarify, my last comment was in reference to your comment just before that, not the initial ones . . . which (minus the Hyundia part that was kinda funny) were spot on. So, is he right about you driving a Kia?

Oh, I do find smileys annoying when the wording itself seems to be purposely offensive and then the writer thinks tacking on a smiley will somehow make it all ok.

If this country fails to support the extraordinary leadership presented by Barak Obama and instead chooses the arrogant and nihilistic philosophy of McCain then our precious little experiment will likely find it's end and that would be an unbridled catastrophe.
I was once more open minded about the republican party; small government, balanced budgets and strong defense but the modern iteration of the Republican party has but one aim. To make money for wealthy parasites. Their racist, religo-facist, homophobic, ignorance celebrating "party platform" is really only cover for very wealthy people who make money in duplicitous ways to maintain and expand their wealth. What annoys me is that morons like yourself eat it up. FOX News broadcasts propaganda 24/7 about how the ACLU is the enemy and all democrats are morally bankrupt child eaters, and you believe it over what you see day to day in your own life. At least if you are worth ten or twenty million you have reason to be a McCain monkey, but you sell the sacrifices made for you by your ancestors cheaply and that's disgraceful.
Wow - you seem pretty bitter about something - and it all seems to be directed towards "the man".

Why would you assume that only rascists do not support obama?

It would seem wealth, money and material possessions play a big part in your life - how are you going to reconcile that with your socialist party?

Now that's a pretty racist comment - I mean the insinuation is that she's not aware "her people" may vote

I wonder, might your democratic party membership be out of guilt for the sins of your fathers?

(I bet you thought that post slipped by unnoticed.. )
