well making this one caused enough grief for him, so asking for another one could be stretching the father-son bond.....LOL. I can still fit at least another 12 models in there, but since I just started working 40hrs/week I have a feeling I know where the extra cash will go.

Here are a few new pics of my Autoart 1:18 Gallardo, inspired by TT (and his hints)….I think they turned out ok but could be better, the background doesn’t look completely black even though it is.
I might try the same with some of my other models during the week.

do/did you have any trouble with the bonnet on the car? The first time I tried to open it, it was very hard to do and eventually it came off the car completely. I managed to force it back in after a long time trying to do it carefully, it now sits in properly but is still very hard to open/close.

hmmm i never had that problem,the bonnet is ok,only thing stupid with it is the dam thing wont stay open on its own,LOL
i gotta say,in red it looks great

LMAO....so you basically have the opposite problem, yours wont stay open and mine is too hard to open. However once I get it open it stays there, you could probably drop a brick on it and it wouldn't move...LOL.

LOL now that i remember my M3 CSL has that problem,once you open it you cant close it without force,LOL
have you also realised the GTR model itself weighs a god dam ton,LOL

yes I did, so I had to go and weigh it as I was curious how much it was........1.19kg was the reading.

lol,quite heavy for a model,especially considering the weight of other 1:18 models.my supra also is pretty dam heavy,maybe even the same as the M3 GTR,but my RX7 weighs pretty much nuthing,LOL

wow, 1,19kg :shock: . and I thought my Tuscan S is heavier, so I did the weight test ..... 0,85 kg and thats quite heavy for me... god....

it is very heavy, I'm not really sure exactly what on the car it is that weighs so much.....but I like it when they are heavy.
