Well it sure looks fancy and shit..........But driver support is poor. The Catalyst 7.1 is buggy......My X-fi shit doesnt work at all.
Few games dont work because they say I have no dx9.....but I think its tsh Catalyst issue.

all games worked for me, had some issues with carbon, setting it to run as if under xp or 98 fixed it..
and my X-Fi fatality works just fine..
could be the poor ati support again

well I think ATI never had a very good drivers support anywho.. a good driver should be out pretty soon i guess..
like i said, my X-Fi works just fine.. i was amazed.. so i'm sure that one will be fixed pretty soon..
overall.. I'm lovin the Vista experience, makes the whole usage of windows way better and even easy on the eye in XP i never really used windows, it was no more then a platform for games a movie player and firefox..
again do you need it? no.. not yet..
personally.. i like it, and would be very hard for me to go back to XP..
my only prob with vista seems to be some codec issues or something, once in a while when i open a folder with lots of movies and the preview images load for the first time (new folder, or maybe i cleaned the old thumbs) i get some error, but then it continues, one thing i had to to to use vista and not get mad, is this:
(btw- image was taken with vistas Snipping Tool.. which is damn useful.. )

Future...Just have it on one of my secondary drives.
Im not using Vista for work/gaming now.....just too much shit that doesnt function properly, and bad drivers. I think it'll be a while till it can be as hassle free as XP.
|
Exactly, thats the reason Im gonna wait too!

What I really want is a stripped down, barebones OS. Windows has always been bloated with a million programs I neither want or use. It would be nice to just get an operating system that come with nothing. Let me add what I want.

then get the simple one.. you dont have to get Vista Ultimate..
|
I don't think the Vista Utimate has Aero interface.

isn't the biggest selling productivity suite for the Mac, Microsoft Office?
That's what I thought - there is so little software for the Mac, the Windows world has to keep writing the leading titles.

Office made its first appearance in 1989 on the Macintosh, with a version for Windows following it in 1990.

BUt Word arrived first for PC..
Having renamed it Microsoft Word, Microsoft released the program October 25, 1983, for the IBM PC.
