well you take the Lingenfelter truck (not necessarily the Escalade) and put it against the Elise, The truck can just ram the elise or run over the front of it and finish the lap in anytime it wants. The point is that this truck would be owned by people that have other nice cars it's called excess.

Why would you want a car that has more than enough power but doesn´t corner or brake???
Besides, it looks like shit and is probably built like shit too

Actually Lingenfelter doesn't build anything like shit but that Escalade EXT does have a weathewr sealing problem around the folding wall behind the rear seat from what the manager of my local Cadillac dealer told me. But the regular versions of the truck are built just fine. And you have to realize that the truck doesn't corner like shit it's fine and if you actually read the review the braking is close to that of the Cayenne Turbo.

I know ur not calling a Escalade with a Lingenfelter 427 TT Engine, pushing out over 700 Ponies, and lbs of torque, a truck that will destroy anything you own, ANd probably most of the cars in Canada, blinged out. Its rides Pirrelis!! for fucks sake.
|
1. You are right: I am not calling the Escalade "a truck that will destroy everything you own, ANd probably most of the cars in Canada" because it's not. Unlike you, I don't like so lie. Also unlike you, I don't like to use bad grammar and shitty spelling, so I would never write a "sentence" like yours.
2. You don't know what I own.
3. Why are you picking on Canada? Are you jealous?
Put that big American POS on a track with bends against a Lotus Elise (inexpensive in comparison) and see it get OWNED.
So you think tires can make up for the fact that it weighs as much as a house?

i know you dont own shit that will beat that truck, your only what 17.

first of all lingenfelter doesnt build shit, he passed last year. secondly a f350 or a dodge 3500 is MUCH cheaper to build, mod, etc. That escalade is a pile of shit because of its cost. I was just offering a better, cheaper idea. Sorry if you've never actually done any of this kind of work before. Speed costs money, how fast to you want to go.
And to the person who said that you could prob turn to the boost up more. That block is built. But it still runs of unleaded gas. Unless you want to run c-16 24/7 at $7 us a gallon all day long, you really are going to be limited to how much you can turn it up. diesel's run on detonation. They love boost. And horsepower isn't what moves you car, torque accelerates. I doubt that escalade could ever hang with a 850 horse diesel pu. IMO of course.

yes i agree its cheaper for the F-250/350/ Cummins to run. I agree with you on all those points. The turbos are extremely powerful when modded, and one chip on a Dieseel can add up to 150 lbs of torque. Ive seen on the Show trucks this guy mod a F-250 Powerstroke, with like 4 mods or so, and the thing was hauling ass. the man one was a Chip, and i think he hadded a bigger intercooler, and maybe some headers and exhaust, and boy did that thing haul. But Lingenfelter does still makes performance parts, and mods performance cars and trucks. John maybe dead, but his legacy and company live on.

Well Lingenfelter is still around just because he died doesn't mean the company did OR is Henry Ford still alive? maybe him and Enzo Ferrari are hanging out at Lingenfelters pad in Indiana right now  And you don't have to have the Escalade that has been stated a million times now you can buy a much cheaper Tahoe or equivalent. Granted the Torque may not be as much as a Diesel but a Diesel running that much power is alot hotter, burns alot of oil and drinks gas like an Irishman on St. patricks day (I'm Irish) The lingenfelter can manage to keep all of that at a reasonable level.

I am the "oen who said" you just turn up the boost.
And I am correct.
There are quite a number of 1000hp LPE TT engined cars and truck around.
You are wrong.
I am correct.
I haven't had a good "factual overload debate" in a long while - don't tempt me.

temp gimme a break man. i drive a turbo car everyday. i hang out/work at 3 different shops in atlanta. i've probably been in/around more horsepower than you could conceptually think of. don't tempt me? whatever man. let me explain a few things to you, mr. 3000 posts.
turbos have an efficency range. pushing a turbo past a point still makes more boost but that extra boost doesnt matter because it is essentially blowing hot air that the intercooler cannot comensate for. furthermore, MY POINT was that a escalade block, built or not, cannot take a HUGE amount of boost. Yes it could probably take enough to make over 1k hp. You push the boost to so much of a limit and your going to start seeing through your block really quick. Beyond that, my point was that a diesel truck would eat that thing for breakfast and I wasn't really impressed, especially with the price.
tempt on that.

Wow - perhaps you need to give Lingenfelter a call and tell them they don't know what they are doing and that all their 1000hp TT cars are badly designed as some yahoo with "i drive a turbo car everyday. i hang out/work at 3 different shops in atlanta. " says so...
IF you knew as much as you claim - you would know that LPE base their over-the-top TT packages on various C5R and LS6/LS1 block build ups.
You would also know then that LPE carries a great reputaiton for doing what they do very well - build superbly powerful and reliable GASOLINE engines that can and do produce crazy power.
Who gives a shit if a diesel pickup will "blow it away" - the point of the vehicle in quesiton and the post and the package is to have a superfast SUV that has slow speed manners of a pussy cat.
Evidently you do not know everything - now do you?
I have a very good friend with one of them there turbo diesel pick-me-ups and dang it sure kin run real good when he turns up the boost...

Lingelfelter makes great chevy cars, the lingelferter corvette makes the 0-60 in just 2.9 sec, makes the quarter mile in 9 sec its a really really crazy car, so imagine this Escalade, I thought the Cayenne Turbo was crazy, but I think this Escalade its more crazyyy

riight, now im a red neck. please. rc-45 your lack of knowledge is okay in my book. i saw a twin turbo ling z06 this weekend. sick ride. but my point was that the escalade wasn't that reliable, didn't make that much power, and cost SHIT TONS too much.
your the moron that goes to road atlanta on ferrari track day and wonders how a civic can beat them around the track. money is not always what you need to be the best. that was my point.
