another 2 fine examples of european car technology. Only those Bavarian people should lock-up Chris Bangle and throw away the key

Thanks alien for the latest videos!!
The 612 review was very nice. IMO the car sound alot like a 575, maybe a bit nicer.
Oh, and good choice to post that Piaggio video Allways wonder about those cars when I see them in Italy. Would like to drive one someday... not as much as I would like to drive a Porsche CGT but you know what I mean
Oh and thanks again for that Masarti video. I really like retro tests. Especially when they also bring in the new cars. I have a dutch article about the first 911 RS & the GT3 996 RS, would scan it, but allmost nobody can read it

Here is FULL of Ape Piaggio. believe me, it's a pain!! Slow, so much slow to be dangerouse (also because are driven by 70years old men), and they really do an aweful noise. BTW, i really enjoyed that review!
I liked also the 612 one, even if they say that Enzo's bodywork is made of aluminiun, and this isn't true! the car sound much nicer than the 575M
Thanks a lot!

I believe I'm using the XviD-1.0-RC2-07022004 XviD. Probably there's a newer version, have to check, a bit too lazy in terms of updating
For encoding, I basically use VirtualDub to resize it down to 320x240 (bilinear).
In terms of codec setting, here's what I changed (from default):
Video:
XviD 1.0 RC2
Encoding type: Single pass
Target quantizer: 3.00
(Advanced Options)
Motion Search Precision: 5 - Very High
VHQ: 3 - Medium Search
Use chroma motion: on
Debug > FourCC used: DX50 (to allow DivX5 to play the file!)
(Click on "more" for Profile)
Quantization type: H.263
Adaptive Quantization: on
B-VOPs: on
Max consecutive BVOPs: 2
Quantization ratio: 1.5
Packed bitstream: off
Closed GOV: on
Audio:
LAME 3.93.1 (??)
128kbps CBR Stereo 44.1kHz
Hope I didn't miss anything, good luck

You ran the LAME Acm install? If it doesn't work, you can always get the Fhg mp3 codec, which is probably less buggy.
BTW, I'm uploading couple of new videos to zippo's webspace:
Auto Motor und Sport - Automotive Airbrush Artist.mpg
Autorotica - 2001 Chevrolet Corvette Tiger Shark.zip
Don't expect too much "action" there, but it's only a prototype 700hp 7L 'vette

This is how a convertible should be driven: Top down, all day, every day! Who cares about winter season when you've got a 645i? Must be the sweetest cruiser around.
AlienDB7 giving away his perfect-rip secrets...
Audio: Lame?

and the lame option isn't even in my virtualdub... i downloaded installed.. i know i have TONS of codecs and shit installed.. but i have very few options.. now i'm using a "Qdesign MPEG" as an audio.. cause the "MPEG Layer-3" crashes my virtualdub... and PCM.. well.. you know..

For the options, you click on the "more..." button for Profile @ Level. I have it set to AS @ L5 I believe.
Did you get the latest LAME from http://mitiok.cjb.net/ ? You right click on the LameAcm.inf in the Acm folder and select Install. After that, you should see "Lame MP3" codec in virtualdub.
