oh, is your Jeep a Cherokee, or Grand Cherokee?... id imagine the Grand Cherokee if you are towing the porsche. mine is in my sig.
My bro has a Grand Cherokee Limited 2001 Blue....DAMNNNNNNNNNn...

Anyways RC, you can still just get the Regular GT2 and eat ferraris. Except for jabbas lambo.

Damn fine car dude. I really like the RS, definitely one of my favorite Porsches. Must have been a hell of a lot of fun driving that around the Ring! Sweet car

Damn nice car and Welcome .

it must have been amazing to go around the Nurburgring!

2 questions:

Do you have your best lap time? maybe you can share it with JW .

how long did it take you to get a feel around the ring?

Nope, it is the Cherokee 4.0 High Output. Works perfect as a tow rig.

Best lap time, I have never clocked myself. Find no particular use if you have driven less than 100 laps, then it may start to make sense.

Jackie Stewart once said: "if you think the Nordschleife is easy, you drive to slow."

Got the feel, hmm, I have done between 90-100 laps, not really sure ( did 50 laps in September, and roughly 40 in April), but after 40 laps you start to remember the 147 corners ( yes it is that many, th course is 21 km long...) But this doesn't mean you know the perfect line, that will take more than that.

Lovely car Patrik ...

Does GT3-RS come standard with PCCB? And how are your brakes holding off after your 90 laps of the Ring

The GT3 RS does not come with PCCB as standard, I think they are 91 000 SEK= roughly € 12 000.
This is silly money in my book, and no I do have them. The 2004 Cup car does not either, so why should I then.
People who complain about the Porsche breaks are using them wrong!

This car has not done 90 laps, "only" 50. I did 40 with my RS-92 which now has been sold. However I have done almost all track days possible with the Porsche Club Sweden, and they are more wearing on the breaks than the Ring, I have probably only used a third of the breaks!!

Nice car patrick. I ran my esprit v8 against an identical car at pistonheads vmax recently - very similar performance, maybe the 911 just had the edge in a straight line but it was very close.

Did you try a 'regular' GT3? Is the RS worth the premium?

My brother has a Mk1 GT3 which I have driven, can't say that I "feel" a huge difference, but throttle response and turn in are better. This is valid in a Mk II version as well.

I didn't look at the price comparion when doing the purchase as wasn't interested in a normal GT3. I had a 964 RS, and in that car, you have so much fun for that kind money it is unbeatable.
Not to say that I am not enjoying the GT3RS, but it is not 3 tiimes more fun...
It is just the car of my dreams...
