well, that sounds pretty good then. Thanks for answering those questions.
Im surprised oil makes up only 14% of Dubai's income. Are you seperating Dubai from the rest of the UAE for that calculation?? For example, when Dubai was being built up as a major tourist attraction didnt oil money pay for all that...and now its just switched over to tourism money since its been such a success???
Either way, Dubai looks like a prett cool place. Seems like a good example where Western/Eastern styles and Arab styles can mesh in peace and harmony of sorts. Although I wonder how the hard liners feel about Dubai. No doubt they view it as a disgrace. Kinda how the christian nuts in America feel about Las Vegas (and any state with a democratic majority LOL) heheheheh.
When you hear things in the news, like how the Aussies just started debating banning all muslum immigration for ten years and promoting christian immigration instead, it makes you wonder what all the moderates in the world are doing while the radical nuts (both christian and muslum) shout and make stupid policies. Personally, I think its great when moderates from both sides can get together in harmony for a little fun and realize how much they have in common instead of fearing the others differences.

Thanks, you are partially right, Dubai original money was from Oil, in which, it did not own! It was from the Capital Abu Dhabi's Oil. but over the years, Dubai created it's Own International brand name. so, from the 90's It stood on it's feet, and now most of it's income comes from the Hospitality industry. and free zone industry ( I have no clue what that means)
Anyway, i hope that helps!

nice pictures form the "Island"
I saw a documentary recently about all these things, mainly the Palms
some severe problems ( like how to get enough turbulence in the palm trees island to refresh the water,...) .. they had to cut the outer wall twice to ensure fresh water comming in.
super interesting
I expect the Metro to connect every island
