the m1 seemed a bit boring. the mercedes look pimpin' sick, but not my style. the koenigsegg just looks wrong. they had some good going but it kinda just went wrong. and the m6 makes my head hurt

appreciate your contribution!

the alfa romeo is a pretty nice looking car, but i really dont like the grill and the tails clash IMO.

the 275 is just too venty. remember, im 18... this wasnt really within my knowledge/age period, and thus its style is not too pleasing to me.

the jag imo is excessively large and showy, but it lacks the flair i feel from the viper. its rear just seems flat out wrong to me.

the 456 is wow... stunning from 1993, but right now, i dont feel it compares. the styling of the modena stands out above it, imo.

the db9, as ive said before, :]

porsches never really impressed me. they just became... too common in an annoying way. i smile upon their performance, but i just dont smile too greatly upon them. they did well with the CGT and the cayenne however. the interior of the cayenne at least ;]

wow... i must say im impressed by the gullwing. classy as hell. for older cars, this would make my list.

the f1 i was a fan of for a great while, but i couldnt really find a place for it on my list, thats why i put it on my honorable mentions. good to see you found a place for it.

the miura, i never truly liked. im rather fond of most lamborghinis, but this styling just doesnt stand out for me.

and bentleys... well bentleys... they arent my type the GT... fantastic though. there are plenty of other large boxies id consider before that one ;]

Default Re: Comment on my top 15 best looking cars list!

If I were to take your list as a starting point, keep the cars that I find beautiful as well and replace the removed ones with contemporary cars only (from 1980) and keep your beloved Altezza (which isn't exactly bad looking, BTW) the list would be as follows.

1. Lamborghini Diablo
2. Aston Martin DB9
3. Ferrari F40
4. Lotus Elise
5. Ferrari 288 GTO
6. Ferrari F355
7. Lamborghini Murcielago
8. Lancia Hyena
9. McLaren F1
10. Ferrari 308
11. Alfa Romeo 156 GTAm
12. Alfa Romeo GTV
13. Ford GT
14. BMW M3 E46
15. Toyota Altezza

I chose the DB9 over the DB7, the F40 over the F50 and the F355 over the 360. All the Mercedeses had to go, since I don't find any of them beautiful enough. The G-class and CL I would even call ugly. I like the EB110, but its headlights spoil it for me. They always keep me from finding it beautiful as a whole. I find the Viper a bit blunt and I like subtlety better. If any American car should be in it, it would have to be the Ford GT IMO. Subtle is not what you would call the Bentley Continental GT either. I think it's fat, has a stupid expression on its 'face' (to me it looks a bit like a beaver with four eyes) and is overall not special enough. The Supra and NSX aren't ugly, but there's no passion or uniqueness in their design. Most of their lines we've seen before and the bits that Toyota and Honda made up on their own don't impress me.

If classics were taken into account this list would have been entirely different. There aren't many modern cars that can beat classic Ferrari's, Maserati's, Lancia's and Alfa Romeo's. It could well be I'd end up with an all Italian list then.[/quote]

i respect your opinions heavily and agree with many of your decisions. i should add that this list is the compilation between the opinions of myself as well as my good friend, thus i cannot substantiate too many of the opinions very well. i agree, the SL and the G are not necessarily suitable for this list. however, i still do not like alfa romeo styling. ill reconsider the list soon. thank you for your contribution.
