apparently he got away unscathed. they originally thought he had a broken ankle but later said he didn't.
that was definitely a wicked wreck and i'm amazed that he didn't get a concussion. What did he hit when airborne though? Something rips the right front suspension off right after he takes flight.
|
From the slow mo it looked he nudged his left front wheel to Trulli's right rear. This made him go airbone. He then bounced on the grass (it was damp from the rain - hence no real retardation) and hit the concrete barrier on the side of the track at an offset angle. This ripped of his right front and he carromed off back on the track this time flipping over several time.
Evil looking crash. I was really worried when he didnt move after the car came to a standstill. Possibly he was knocked unconscious.

^^ Yeah I noticed that, I think it was because the Safety car was escorting the Medical car to what was left of Kubica's car, thats all I can think off :bah:

^^ No!! The Safety car brought the medical car to the crashsite, it was clearly visible on the television. To be more specific, the CLK is the safety car and the C-class is the medical car.

Ohhh Saadie, the real CLK safety car was escorting the medical car to the crashsite right, that means that the real CLK safety car was occupied with that task, therefore the Honda took over the role as safety car leading the pack of F1 cars...

What an unusual race  BTW Fox's coverage sucked big ass donkey balls. I seemed like every 10 minutes there was some huge graphic for Baseball filling half the screen. I didn't tune in to watch the Formula 1 race because I was concerned when the stupid ass baseball game was gonna be! They also cut it short at the end so I didn't get to see the driver's interviews.
Hamilton had a perfect race and I am glad he got his first victory.
Alonso sucked it up big time, messed up on the same turn 4 times and got passed by Sato (nice work Sato! )
Kimi was practically useless but at least he didn't make the same mistake Massa and Fisi did
Glad to hear Kubica is okay, that was a pretty wicked crash.

Apparently Kimi's car was damaged:
odt revealed Raikkonen's car had been damaged twice over the course of the race, initially at the first corner after the
start when the front of his car collided with the back of Massa's and then when he hit debris from the BMW of Robert Kubica
following the Pole's horrendous crash.
In the circumstances, Raikkonen admitted he would settle for four points.
"It was a very difficult race for me, right from the beginning. I did not have that much grip at the start being on the dirty
side of the track and immediately after I hit Felipe's car with my front wing.
"Then there were so many safety-car periods that it caused chaos. On top of that, after Kubica's accident, a piece of debris
got stuck in my front wing and I had so much understeer and some difficulties with the brakes.
"All these problems put together made it a complicated race.
"At the end of the day, I picked up some points; it could have been better but it could also have been worse."

Just to clarify things, it was a groundhog and not a beaver that prevented Davidson a podium finish

More crap from Alonso.

Theories.. there is no preference.. given.. Lewis is just faster. Maybe if Alonso pulled his finger out and started driving like a crazy white man.. he will win one.
