Again some superb sightings. If it's not raining, you see the most amazing cars at the ring. And if it's hot it's even better It's a bit of shame that it's always raining when I'm there (not that I'm there really often).

Nice photos you shot there Dodo !!! I hope I'll be as fortunate as you were, that I can snap a Carrera GT on the ring. Fingers crossed this year.

It's a great idea to start a Ring section here. Simply too interesting !

I hope I can go to the 24-hours race this year. Normally I can. I think my next visit will be in May.

Cheers

What time does the VLN start and VLN uses the North Loop right? And where will you watch the race from?

i wont watch the race at all... i'm more after the cars around the ring.
so i will ply between several areas: start/accesspoint, grandstand, brünnchen, pflanzgarten etc.

...and as always i will visit the viper-meeting! i was there several times and i know some of them now...

This time the pictures aren't from the Nürburgring. They were taken at the Hockenheimring last sunday - DTM.

But the next time I will vitis the Hockenheimring is next year and i didn't want to start a new thread for it.

Not the usual Nürburgring-Quality and -quantity, but still quite nice.

OUCH, I am done with the pictures saving! Another load! Impressive! Incredible to see basically the whole ABT lineup there!

See yeckmohr what I mean when I say you should visit the parking areas?

BTW dodo, what camera are you using? it is true that it was a cloudy day, but most pics look someway blurry. I know I always bitch about such details, but I was just wondering.

It was raining the most time... every 60 seconds i had to clean the bloody lens. It could have been A LOT more, but many pics are way too blurred.
I used a Konica Minolta Dimage Z2 (10x zoom, 4 megapix)...

Oh indded when it is rainy, even light rain, the focusing is often fucked up :bah:

I would never shoot in such conditions! Would be too scared to damage the little mechanics that move the lense in and out
