Yes, everybody who attended said they would love to do it again next year (if not earlier ). A few of them will have F430's by then so it will be different cars attending, plus the article in MOTOR should get alot of attention from owners around the country.

The guy who lives in Alice Springs (with the Murcie) has already asked us to come back - he's lonely.

Have you tried downloading the .RAR files instead of waiting for the thumbnails to load?

I have got 2 DVD's back already, and another 4-5 should arrive today from Adelaide with all our footage on it - so there is plenty of stuff to use.
Its just a matter of editing it all - luckily thats not up to me!

I'm still not 100% sure if we will end up selling the DVD or not - guess it depends on interest from 'customers'. It would obviously be nice if I could share it with you guys for free......we'll see.

Sadly this is not the case for alot of people and this is quite a common occurence up there; add the cavalier attitude to drinking and there is bound to be trouble.
I agree with you on that. Even as a passenger you are absolutely exhausted at the end of the day, just from having to concentrate on the the road and also whats beside the road. The time we were trying to max out the GT2 (I was in the passenger seat), everything that looked anything like an animal or person etc needed studying, and if we were unsure what it was we backed out.

The most common response (other then OMG) to my photos is that the cars look so out of place in the scenery but look unbelievable. It was unreal to see the cars in that setting. As for Alice Springs, I know I probably wouldn't return without being there to visit the Murcie owner there or to give some exotics a run. As dingo may have said him and I were there an extra night then the others and got so bored we went and saw a movie. That's how little there is to do in Alice.

what kind of business must you be running in the alice to afford a murci?

and how hard would it be if you want pros to service the car?

Computer-related business - its not hard to make money out there since you don't have much (or any) competition.

He flys in a Lambo mechanic from Melb. to do the servicing.

I got there in the end but thanks! turned out it was my bro hogging the connection As for the DVD well obviously posting etc may be a problem for non aussy members so maybe they would consider an arrangment simlar to fastrack for jabbas dvd. Guess piracy is a concern cos you can bet some leeching arseholes like finaltools will create a torrent whatever you do  Anyway once its done maybe run a poll, i'd certainly give you some of my beer money to see the footage

**EDIT**

Just watched that video and fantastic, somehow i was expecting all straight roads, but actually very familiar to the roads around here for that bit, winding and undulating..... surface actually looked alot better though Fantastic footage IMO

There should be plenty of footage for a nice DVD - all up we got about 6hrs worth I think from 4 different cameras. The drag races we had will be the highlight IMO, and obviously the chopper stuff.

I've sent the guy in charge of the DVD an email to see what his plans are, and also passed on your (AL123) suggestions.

the only difference is that on your roads you could only do 250kmh+ for about 5mins before ending up in jail.

Great video, dingo!! We want more

The webiste already had 1176 visitors and nothing is there yet
Seems like it's going to be a popular site once all the stuff becomes online.

I have just received 5 DVD's with all our unedited footage on it - so it seems my weekend will be spent reliving the memories.

Don't worry you'll get more - however I'm not in charge of the video editing so I just pass it on as they become available.
