Magwheel did you thought about it, i think its a great looking car and Hamster loves it

Thnaks for the SLR writeup 8)
remember, the CGT basically does everything the Zonda does, except look like it. it choose the CGT each time 8)
easy for you...the two car sound so sweet (didnt heard them in live), and i think they scream even more in real life.
The CGT has an amazing sound, but the Zonda is beautiful

Welcome to JW, magwheel! Hats off to you sharing your collection with us! And what a collection it is... Great taste!

It was such an awesome sight, all those custom shots in one post! I was so baffled, I couldn't help laughing.

BTW, last fall I rode shotgun with a guy in a GT2 on a racetrack. His taste is very similar, as he also owns a Murciélago, an F430, a GT2 (well, actually two of them) and a CGT.

I think we have enough "proof" and honesty that has been displayed to accept mag as a new honourable member in good standing.

Afterall, if someone went to these lengths just to "fool" us then it wouldn't be us that are the "Internet losers".

So, I say lets just relax and enjoy the cars for what they are, and mag as a new JW'er.

Besides 2300 views in 3 days for a post with no porn must be close to a JW record...

Default Review of my Pearl Green Murcielago, the 'HULKSTR'

OK, now it's time for the Murcielago. First let me say, back in I think July, after I got the Red F430 from Arizona and was infatuated with the car, I started thinking about buying a 6-speed coupe in a different color. I found a Burgundy 6-speed Coupe in Nevada or California on eBay and called the guy to chat. Really nice guy and he happened to mention he also had a Gallardo for sale. When asked if I was interested, I said that I had heard Lambos were not as reliable as a Ferrari. He immediately said that a Gallardo was an excellent car but the Murcie was just OK in his opinion. Probably said that cause he had the Gallardo for sale. Anyhow, I starting getting into heat for a Lambo shortly after talking to him.

At that time, my budget would only let me chase the Gallardo. So after calling all around, I found the car I wanted in Columbus, Ohio at the Nelson Auto Group (Lamborghini, Ohio). Made the deal, got the car, loved it and then started foaming at the mouth for the Murcielago. Well, my financial situation changed in early January and I had set a goal on getting the Murcie before or on my 58th birthday in February. I called the Nelson Auto Group where I bought my Gallardo, (Harvey Ford-excellent salesman and transaction) and told him I wanted a Green Murcie coupe. I like the Roadster but the top just makes the car look unfinished to me. Harvey was looking all over for my Green Murcie and meanwhile, I started searching on my own at dealers all over the U.S. Guess what I found in Dallas, Texas. Yep, my Green Murcie was there and waiting for me at Lamborghini Dallas.

I started working on a deal with Scott (their salesman-also excellent to work with) and over here in Ohio, Harvey and the gang were busting their rear to try and sell me a Yellow 06 Murcie they had in stock. Well, I wanted the Pearl Green more than the Yellow so I made a deal at a even better price than the Yellow one in Ohio. I was very, very happy. Car was delivered February 9th, one day after a new 2 car heated garage I had being built was finished. How's that for timing? The car is absolutely beautiful and that Pearl Green color is just unreal! Scott convinced me to get the E-gear because he said there's too much going on in the interior and I think he's right. The black interior with the green stitching is super fine.

One nice thing about the Lambos is the ability to push a button and the nose of the car raises about one and a half inches. Nice when you have to drive over speed bumps or mildly angled driveway entrances. Another nice feature is the electrically folding side view mirrors. Especially nice if you build a garage that's not wide enough for a Murcie and a Carrera GT in the same garage. What a dumb ass I am! The E-gear really shifts nice and smooth BUT.... you have to manually shift when going up in gears. It will downshift by itself when gradually coming to stop. A minor hassle since both my F1 Ferraris shift by themselves in their automatic mode. Full Auto-Mode is nice when you eating a burger or playing with you wife or girlfriend or both!! The dash is laid out nice and the heating system will blow you out of the car and I'm not kiddn! The radio doesn't have any preset buttons but it's east to operate. You choose the band you want, preset your channels and then just rotate the right knob left or right to find your station. I'm just use to preset buttons so it was a little confusing at first.

Rear view visibility is a little better than in the Carrera GT or Ford GT cause they suck in that category. There's plenty of decent seating room and leg room for me. Outside the lines of the car are fabulous! Just like the Gallardo, it's wild to see all those angles and edges instead of curves everywhere. The slats in the rear window are really trick looking. One bummer is that you can't manually raise the two upper engine side scoops and keep them UP all the time! They look vicious just like the mouth of JAWS when they're up but they depend on engine temperature to raise and lower. Somebody on LamboPower.com said if I raise them manually with the car running and then shut the car off, they will stay up.... ALL THE TIME - You have to take the car to a dealer to reset them to go down! Yeah, that really sounds like a great idea!

The car is wide.... kinda like the fat lady at the circus. You have to be careful with the lower rear side scoops if you go through drive-thrus so that you don't nail them on curbs. The engine.... the sound of those twelve cylinders will give you goose bumps all the time. She doesn't seem as loud as the Gallardo but very healthy, indeed! I'm not into aftermarket stuff, exhausts, wheels, wings etc., so she'll stay unadulterated till it's time to get a new one. The Murcie is sneaky fast. You'll be out on the freeway, look down at the speedo and DAMN, I'm really doing 85 or 90? You better have a Valentine One or you're going to be 'up the creek' real quick.

I'll tell you this, cruise around in a Murcie and people look at it like it's a Flying Saucer! Plus with that nice and subtle Pearl Green color, the 'HULKSTR' could get me into trouble real fast if my girlfriend keeps going out of town!! TT and Jabba are helping me with the pics so they'll be on tomorrow I hope. If you're ever in need of help here on JW, give one of them a PM, they're really two great guys.

Hey TT, did my DNA and blood tests come back yet?

p.s.s. I forgot to let you know about my 58th birthday and the cake my girlfriend had made for me. It was fantastic but the funny part was the dye the baker use was so strong, after eating a bite or two, your teeth would turn green. Her sister took a bite and I told her she looked like she just gave the 'Incredible Hulk' a blowjob (I was a little drunk at the time so it seemed the right thing to say!) She and her sister both laughed their asses off! Had a great time!

Thanks for yet another write up! The Murci is such a sexy car and so desirable! I totally agree about the air intakes, but well, I am not sure what the guy said to make them stay up all the time is correct: when I shoot this Murcielago: http://www.swisscarsightings.com/ind...urcielago.html in one of the last locations I asked the owner to open them (3rd row). He turned on the car, manually opened them and switched off the car.. they closed down LOL, so we had to keep the car running to have them open :bah:

SLR and Gallardo pics are done, just send the Murcielago ones whenever you want

Excellent job TT. Guys, please give kudos to TT for helping this old-man out over here trying to figure out how to get the pics on. Jabba tried but I passed out from stress of not understanding and I was afraid to ask him again! TT, you saved my ass from everyone thinking I was a dumb s_ _ t with nice cars! Michael p.s. Just posted the Murcielago review. The pics will be on their way to you in 15 minutes or so. I hope the post wasn't too long winded... if it was... please let me know. 8)

excellent write up, once again Michael!

you know, if i had such a beast... i dont doubt i'd stop for some fast food somewhere with it i'd be a tad worried about the ultra-wide body; and ride hight... right now, that is definately not a care in the world in my mind with a Jeep

again, i think the Color is AWSOME, and with green stitching! Too much :spaz:

its also good you got the better deal i haven't sat in a Murci yet, but i do agree the FGT has terrible rear visibility. I guess i wouldn't have thought the V12 sounds more understated then the Gallardo's V10.

and an excellent review of the E-gear, i've always wondered how Lambos' e-gear compared; i dont think i've seen a single magazine review cover that 0X 8)

long winded?? definately not! (but breaking it up in a few paragraphs might make for an easier read)

Hey, give a novice a break, will ya? After all the blood tests and everything else for my verification, I'm a little anemic and slow witted right now! Michael p.s. I'll do my best in the future!! F430 later on tonight or probably tomorrow. :silly:

I'd take my GT2 back right now if I had to choose between the SLR and the GT2. Loved that car! 8)
