The way i see and understand it, these are enthusists sites only not some random advertisers for pron etc. Now those would piss me off, relevant stuff on the other hand is good IMO and if it brings in more good members all the better. As for the distraction like all of the stuff people whine about when it changes (me included) you just get used to it, these are small on my screen atleast and don't distract me.

Which style are you using Al? switch to subBlack. They jump out a bit too much. More noticeble than the main banner.

i use subblack, have been ever since dan forced us to have it while testing, bet i moaned about that at first but now i love it

I use cobalt and with the new banners I'm with Z. I see more the porn-esque banner of sweetie than JW

now the banners, i don't like now and i'm sure won't like later. as i said before, i hate being advertised at.

Just to clarify this, we aren't looking to put indeed some crappy ads but more like affiliated websites.. Jabba - Swisscarsightings is a good sample I think and I hope you don't consider my little website as a crappy advertiser just trying to create some better links between them

exactly i'd never have a decent background for my computer if i didn't remember to click on swisscarsightings, imagine all the poor souls out there who've never heard of either site !

I understand the intent, but i think most people associate banners with ads and lets face it, a good chunk of banner ads come with irritating pop-ups.

i know in the long run the Admins have the final say, but can we try a links page for a little while and see which works better in the long run?

I couldn't have said it any better myself and to be honest I think some of the comments being made by others are both an insult to SCS and to TT (the porn banners are a joke btw).

Its the least we can try and do to help each other (dingo has a site now as well that we might consider in the future)...after everything these guys have done for JW I think you are being a bit mean about a small banner appearing under our own main one.
